MIPI DevCon Delivers First Virtual Event; Extends Education with On-Demand Content

Not only did MIPI DevCon 2020 draw a global audience of nearly 350 attendees on 22-23 September, but the conference presentations and member demos will continue to offer developers and implementers a wealth of resources long after the live event. Whether you missed this week's webcasts or want to review key information from a presentation you attended, all the sessions and demo recordings are now available on demand.

Conference Sessions and Demos

Automotive topics took center stage on the first day of the conference, kicked off by the keynote, Trends in Future In-Vehicle Communication Networks, and followed by a State of the Alliance update on activities related to MIPI Alliance's strategic priorities. MIPI working group leaders and other experts also shared presentations on MIPI A-PHY ℠ and MIPI Automotive SerDes Solutions (MASS), MIPI CSI-2℠ and automotive ASIL-B, MASS automotive displays, and ADAS/AD sensor validation. The day wrapped up with a MASS closing session that welcomed a panel of industry leaders to discuss trends and standards in automotive.

The "Internet of Things" was the focus of several sessions on day two, including a joint presentation on MIPI specifications in IoT and a closing chat with IoT experts discussing industry hype vs. reality. The agenda also featured sessions on MIPI to Bluetooth LE, an integrated MIPI C-PHY℠/D-PHY℠ IP, interoperability and MIPI I3C®, the MIPI I3C HCI℠ driver for Linux, and new MIPI RFFE℠ features to advance 5G.

Along with the 14 conference sessions, the MIPI DevCon lineup also included the eight 10-minute technical demos provided by these MIPI members: Synopsys, Inc.; Tektronix, Inc.; Mixel, Inc.; Teledyne LeCroy; Introspect Technology; BitifEye Digital Test Solutions GmbH; Protocol Insight, LLC; and Prodigy Technovations Pvt. Ltd.
