Member Demos
Learn more about the 14 member demos that were showcased at MIPI Demo Day Taipei, 11 September 2024.
Acute Technology Inc.
Acute Technology demonstrated its MIPI I3C®, MIPI SPMI℠ and MIPI RFFE℠ logic/protocol analyzer, MSO3124V; its MIPI I3C and MIPI RFFE Pattern Generator, TD3216B Digital Pattern Generator; and its MIPI D-PHY℠ CSI-2®/DSI℠ analyzer: BF7264 Pro Protocol Analyzer.
Binho LLC
Binho featured a demo of its MIPI I3C® protocol development tools, which include its I3C protocol analyzer and Supernova USB to I3C host adapter. The demo also showcased many of the publicly-available I3C-capable sensors and ICs, highlighting both the broad market adoption that I3C has already achieved and also the ease of which Binho tools can help engineers get up and running with this new technology.
Genesys Logic Inc.
Genesys Logic demonstrated the function of the fisheye image correction chip and its application. With MIPI CSI-2®, this controller can pair with wide range of image sensors. The fisheye image is then converted to regular image for applications like conference cameras, video doorbells and surveillance cameras.
Introspect Technology
Introspect Technology provided a demo of its SV5C-DPRXCPRX MIPI D-PHY℠ and C-PHY℠ Analyzer as well as its SV5C-DPTXCPTX MIPI D-PHY and C-PHY Generator with a specific focus on the MIPI CSE℠ protocol and other upcoming specifications. The company also demonstrated its SV6E-X Mid-Frequency Digital Test Module performing real tests on MIPI I3C® and MIPI SoundWire® devices.
Keysight Technologies Inc.
Keysight Technologies demonstrated MIPI A-PHY® receiver electrical test for noise immunity and BER. Keysight was joined in the booth by BitifEye and Protocol Insight, who each provided elements of the complete solution. The demo reflected the ongoing development of the receiver CTS for which all three companies have actively contributed.
Microchip Technology
Microchip Technology showcased its demo with MIPI I3C®. The PIC18-Q20 microcontroller is used as a bridge device to drive an LED panel typically driven via the HUB75 interface. The PIC18-Q20 MCU converts each LED panel into an I3C device so that an array of LED panels can be driven from a single I3C controller. Each panel can be disconnected and reconnected to the bus, thanks to the I3C hot-join feature. Interesting animations and visuals are possible, thanks to the fast data rate and broadcast commands of I3C.
Mixel, Inc.
Mixel showcased its customer demos integrating Mixel’s MIPI IP, including the Microsoft HoloLens 2, ams OSRAM Mira 050 CMOS image sensor, and NXP i.MX7ULP applications processor as featured in the Garmin Edge 830 cycling GPS.
Motorcomm Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.
Motorcomm demonstrated a surround view system based on its SerDes chip that complies with the MIPI A-PHY® protocol. YT78xx serializer converts MIPI CSI-2® serial interface into MIPI A-PHY serial link transceiver. YT79xx deserializer converts four A-PHY serial link transceiver into two MIPI CSI-2® D-PHY℠ or C-PHY℠ serial interface. Simultaneously, it sends and receives bidirectional data and control information across the same A-PHY link. A-PHY data can be transported over Shielded Twisted Pair (STP) or coaxial cables. It can operate at 2/4/8Gpbs in the forward direction, and 100Mbps in the reverse direction.
Prodigy Technovations Pvt. Ltd.
Prodigy Technovations demonstrated UFS4, MIPI I3C®, MIPI SPMI℠ and MIPI RFFE℠ protocol exercisers and analyzers.
Protocol Insight, LLC
Protocol Insight showcased its Marlin A200 MIPI A-PHY® protocol analyzer and exerciser and Falcon G550C UFS 4.0 / MIPI UniPro® 2.0 protocol analyzer and exerciser.
Soliton Technologies Private Limited
Soliton Technologies featured its PVS (Protocol Validation Solutions) a turnkey, high-performance protocol compliance tester for MIPI I3C®, MIPI Soundwire®, MIPI RFFE℠ and MIPI SPMI℠. These tools help customers to perform functional, electrical, error recovery and fault tests on the interfaces. These tools are more suitable for Post-Silicon and System-Level Validation.
Synopsys, Inc.
Synopsys demonstrated a silicon-proven Synopsys MIPI IP for automotive to connect with popular long channel bridges and sensors.
Tektronix, Inc.
Tektronix offered a demo of MIPI A-PHY® and MIPI C-PHY℠ testing challenges.
Teledyne LeCroy
Teledyne LeCroy demonstrated UFS/MIPI UniPro®, MIPI M-PHY® GEAR 5 testing as well as MIPI C-PHY℠/D-PHY℠ analysis and testing.
