Accommodations

 

Sleeping Room Reservations

MIPI Alliance and The Taipei Marriott Hotel have negotiated a special room block rate of NT$6,500 / $201 USD plus 15.5% taxes for a single room or NT$7,100 / $220 USD plus 15.5% taxes for a double room per night. An extra bed is NT$1,800 / $55 USD plus 10% service charge and 5% tax per bed per day.

Quoted sleeping room rates will be offered based on availability, three calendar days before and after the event dates of 9-13 September 2024. The sleeping room deadline date has passed although you can secure your sleeping room while the rates remain available.

The MIPI Alliance room rate is offered inclusive of complimentary basic Wi-Fi access and an international buffet breakfast at the Garden Villa restaurant for one single occupancy per room per night. Additional breakfast will be charged at NT$850 / $26 USD plus 10% service charge per person per day.

Meals at the Member Meeting

The meeting registration fee includes breaks, lunch and social event. If members book their sleeping room using the MIPI-negotiated hotel room block rate, breakfast will be included as part of the room rate. Otherwise, breakfast will not be provided.

If MIPI members are not staying at the Taipei Marriott, the restaurant has the right to accept or not accept outside clients based on the occupancy or availability of seats (breakfast fees for non guests NT$1280+10% service charge / $43 USD).

For attendees at MIPI Demo Day and the I3C Plugfest events, breaks and lunch are included.

 

Cancellation Policy

Reservations can be cancelled without penalty before 16 August local Taipei time. 100% cancellation charges will be incurred for any rooms cancelled after this date. Additional reservation requests will be subject to availability only upon request. Should the group rates not be available, rooms will be confirmed at the prevailing rate of the day.

Parking, Fitness & Spa at The Taipei Marriott Hotel

In-house guests enjoy free parking during their stay (upon availability). For attendees not staying on the property, the on-site parking fee is NT$100 hourly / $3.10 USD, and valet parking fee is NT$300 hourly / $9.30 USD. There are electric car charging stations.

Guests can take advantage of the Fitness Center, which is open 7 days a week, 24 hours per day. There is also a heated rooftop swimming pool that is open daily 06:00-22:00 (operating hours may vary).

The SKY19 Spa (+886 2-85029999 2233) is situated on the 19th floor of The Taipei Marriott Hotel. It is open daily 10:00-22:00, appointments required.

Visa Requirements

The Taipei Marriott Hotel does not officially offer sponsor letters and /or letters of support for visa applications. Requests can be made directly with the hotel, although your sleeping room reservation should suffice.

Nearby Airports

  • Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) is approx. 41km west and a 35-minute drive to the hotel
  • Taipei Songhai Airport (TSA) is approx. 4km south and a 7-minute drive to the hotel

The Taipei Marriott Hotel offers a car service from TSA for NT$1800 / $55 USD (one way). A reservation is required +88 628 5029999.

 

Public Transport

  • Transport
    • The nearest MRT station to The Taipei Marriott Hotel is Jiannan Road (BR15) on the Wenhu Line and is 2 stops north from the TSA airport
    • Taipei City’s Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system (also called Taipei Metro) has 117 stations along 5 lines covering 131km of track across the city, connecting a variety of major attractions and important districts. The routes are color- and number-coded. A one-way fare is approx. NT$20-60 / $0.60-1.80 USD. You can purchase an EasyCard (Yoyo Card), a one-touch payment card with a stored value of up to NT$5,000 / $155 USD that can be used on the MRT, buses and the YouBike system.
    • The Airport Line Commuter / Airport Line Express is an alternative train transfer option from TPE (A12 or A13 on the Taoyuan Airport MRT line) to the Main Taipei Station (A1) center and could take 75-90 minutes for approx. NT$150 / $4.60 USD.
    • Bus companies operate routes from TPE into Taipei, taking approx. 60-90 minutes and approx. NT$125 / $4 USD to reach city center destinations.
      • Shuttle commuter bus - there is also a NT$30 / $1 USD shuttle bus from TPE to the nearest high-speed rail station, Taoyuan Station. From there, a single fare to Taipei center is approx. NT$175 / $5.50 USD and takes approx. 20 minutes.
    • Taxi services
      • Taxi's are easily found at the TPE and TSA airports:
        • TPE - taxi stands are located on the west side of the arrivals lobby at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
        • TSA - taxi rank right outside.
      • Foreign visitors can dial 0800055850 for the Safe Taxi Service Hotline (or dial 55850 on mobile phone) to ask for a cab in English.
    • Uber is available in the New Taipei area.
      • From TPE  to The Taipei Marriott Hotel - Uber publish that service is not available in this direction, although you can travel from the hotel to TPE for approx. NT$1,500 / $46 USD.
      • From TSA airport to The Taipei Marriott Hotel is approx. NT$200 / $6.20 USD.
    • The 55688 App is an alternative option to Uber.
