A Preview of the Upcoming MIPI I3C v1.2 and Techniques for Testing and Debugging I3C Implementations

This presentation offers a preview of the new features, updates and clarifications coming in the next release of the MIPI I3C® specification (v1.2), explaining the rationale and use cases that led to the development of these upcoming features. The presentation also dives into several techniques, tools and tips for testing and debugging I3C implementations, including physical layer/electrical verification, firmware/device driver testing, and verifying protocols on top of I3C.

The Latest Developments with the MIPI A-PHY Specifications, Reference Compliance Test Suite and Compliance Program

Presenters: Edo Cohen, Raj Kumar Nagpal, Kevin Kershner and Yash Pathak

With the first MIPI A-PHY® products entering the automotive market, this two-part presentation provides an update on recent A-PHY developments within MIPI:

  • MIPI A-PHY Working Group co-chairs present the status of the A-PHY specifications, providing insight on the  recently released A-PHY v2.0.
  • MIPI A-PHY Test and Compliance leads provide an overview of the recently released A-PHY Reference Compliance Test Suite (CTS) and the current status of the A-PHY Compliance Program. With specific focus on A-PHY electrical testing, this session highlights key requirements from the A-PHY test specifications, explains the general architecture of the A-PHY Compliance Program, and highlights upcoming test events.

What’s New and What’s Next with MIPI CSI-2

Since its initial release in 2005 and subsequent mass adoption within the mobile market, MIPI CSI-2® has undergone numerous updates to maintain its status as the de-facto embedded camera interface for smartphones and to enable its adoption into the compute, automotive and IoT markets. This presentation provides insight into some of the key features that have been added to CSI-2 in recent releases, followed by a preview of new features planned for the upcoming CSI-2 v4.2 and v4.5 releases.
