In order to complete the membership application form you will need to determine if you are applying as a Contributor or Adopter member. You will also need to determine if you are eligible for a reduced membership level and attach the appropriate documentation. If your company’s membership revenue is below USD $250 million, you may qualify for the discounted rate. Please make sure to include your latest year-end financial statements for our review. If your company qualifies for the discount, you will be invoiced the discounted fees. For further clarification on the membership levels and reduced dues please see the membership model.
How Can I Join MIPI Alliance?
We have two types of membership for new membership levels: Contributor and Adopter.
The differences are outlined on the Membership Model page.
Please go to the Member Directory to confirm whether your company is already a MIPI Alliance member. If your company is already a member of MIPI Alliance, request a personal user account via the Member Login Page.
Steps to Join the MIPI Alliance
Upon receipt of the Membership Application Form, the MIPI Admin team will send you the Membership Package via DocuSign to sign and submit via DocuSign.
Once the signed agreement and information form are received, you will receive an invoice for the membership fee. New members receive a pro-rated invoice for membership through December 31. Upon payment of the membership fee, your company’s membership will be activated. You will receive a counter-signed copy of the Membership Agreement via DocuSign, as well as an email notification confirming your MIPI Alliance membership. At this point you will receive access to our member website where you can download specifications and begin membership activity.
If your company is applying for Contributor level membership, please submit a presentation which includes a brief company introduction and describes how the MIPI Alliance would benefit from your Contributor level membership. The proposal must be 5 slides or fewer and should focus on your company’s technical expertise and available resources. You can submit your company presentation with the online Membership Application Form or by sending it to email@example.com, using PDF format (preferred) or PPT. The presentation will be forwarded to the MIPI Alliance Board of Directors for approval.

Applies to Adopter and Contributor members only: if a company’s turnover including all its subsidiaries is less than USD $250 million per year, then the dues are discounted by 50% for that year. The applicant must provide evidence that annual turnover (annual revenue) is less than $250 million per year.
Applies to Contributor members only: if a company’s turnover including all its subsidiaries is less than USD $10 million per year, then the dues are discounted by 75% for that year. The applicant must provide evidence that annual turnover (annual revenue) is less than $10 million per year.
A Member who is terminated by the Board of Directors who withdraws from MIPI alliance shall not be permitted to reapply for membership in MIPI Alliance unless such terminated or withdrawn Member shall receive the consent of 75% of the Board as a whole and shall, for the year in which such reapplication is received, pay the dues for the entire year without proration.
Members who join after 1 October will be invoiced for Q4 fees and the subsequent year annual fee. Participation in MIPI membership activities will not commence until the membership dues are paid in full.
